Fatigue despite longer daylight hours (spring fatigue).

Dust and pollen taking over your home and nose.

The urge to declutter everything at once (and then only being half-finished).

The good news? With the right spring hacks, you can tackle all of these challenges without feeling overwhelmed!

Lavender is the secret star of spring. It not only helps with stress and anxiety, but also for skin care and as a natural room fragrance. Particularly practical: you can easily make it yourself and always have a little spring oasis to hand.

Cuisine:Mediterranean
Yield:250ml
Method:Influence
Instructions
1. Prepare the flowers: Wash the lavender flowers (if fresh) and allow them to dry. If you are using dried flowers, you can skip this step.

2. Heat the oil: Gently heat the carrier oil in a saucepan (do not boil!). This activates the essential oils of the lavender flowers.

3. Add the flowers: Place the lavender flowers in the jar and pour the warm oil over them.

4. Leave to soak: Close the jar and place it in a sunny spot for 2-4 weeks. Shake it from time to time.

5. Filter: Pour the oil through a sieve or coffee filter to remove the flower residue.

6. Store: Pour the finished lavender oil into a dark bottle and store it in a cool place away from light.
Ingredients
* 1 handful of dried lavender flowers (or fresh if you have access to a garden)
* 250 ml high-quality carrier oil (e.g. almond oil or olive oil)
* 1 clean glass jar with lid
* 1 fine sieve or coffee filter

◉ Soothing Irritations: Lavender oil has anti-inflammatory properties and can help with irritated skin or minor burns. Mix a few drops of lavender oil with a carrier oil (e.g., almond or coconut oil) and apply gently to the affected area.

◉ Acne Treatment: Thanks to its antibacterial properties, lavender oil can help reduce pimples. Put a drop of oil on a cotton pad and gently dab it on the affected spots.

◉ For Relaxation: Lavender oil has a calming effect on the nervous system. Add a few drops to your pillow or a diffuser to sleep better.

◉ Massage Oil: Mix lavender oil with a carrier oil and use it as a relaxing massage oil after a long day.

◉ Natural Air Freshener: Fill a spray bottle with water, add 10-15 drops of lavender oil, and spray it around your home to spread a fresh scent.

◉ In the Sauna or Bath: Add a few drops of lavender oil to your bath water or sauna infusions to create a relaxing atmosphere.

◉ Moth Repellent: Place a small bowl of lavender oil in your wardrobe to keep moths away.

◉ Cleaning Solution: Mix lavender oil with vinegar and water to create a naturally scented all-purpose cleaner.

◉ Store in a light-protected manner: Lavender oil should be stored in a dark glass bottle (e.g., brown or blue tinted glass) to protect it from direct sunlight. UV light can destroy the valuable ingredients of the oil.

◉ Keep cool and dry: Store the oil in a cool, dry place, ideally at room temperature. Avoid storing it near heaters or in humid rooms (e.g., in the bathroom).

◉ Keep tightly sealed: Ensure that the bottle is always tightly closed to prevent oxidation. Open bottles can cause the oil to spoil more quickly.

◉ Shelf life: Homemade lavender oil lasts about 6–12 months when stored properly. If the oil becomes cloudy or develops an unpleasant odor, it’s time to replace it.

◉ Drink more water: Start your day with a glass of warm lemon water. It stimulates digestion and gives you an energy boost.

◉ Get moving outdoors: Go for a walk or try yoga outdoors. Exercise helps fight spring fatigue.

◉ Reduce sugar: Less sugar = more energy. It may sound tough, but your body will thank you!

◉ Ventilate wisely: Ventilate early in the morning or late in the evening when pollen levels are lower.

◉ Change clothes: After a walk, change your clothes and wash them immediately to keep pollen away.

◉ Nasal spray: A saline nasal spray can help flush out pollen from your nose.

◉ Start with small goals: Want to get fit? Start with 10 minutes of exercise per day.

◉ Use natural scents: In addition to lavender, citrus scents like orange or grapefruit are also great for uplifting your mood.

◉ Schedule time for yourself: Spring can be stressful. Take conscious breaks to relax and recharge.
