◉ Rich in fiber: Fiber helps regulate your dog’s digestion and contributes to a healthy gut. A regular intake of fiber promotes intestinal motility and prevents constipation.

◉ High beta-carotene content: Not only is this orange color pretty to look at, but it’s also high in beta-carotene – a powerful antioxidant that protects cells and boosts your dog’s immune system

◉ Vitamins and minerals: Sweet potatoes are rich in vitamins A, C and B6 as well as potassium and iron. Among other things, these nutrients support skin health and promote a healthy heart.

◉ Gluten free: If your dog is sensitive to gluten or needs a gluten-free diet, sweet potato is an excellent alternative to conventional cereals.

These dog treats with sweet potatoes are a tasty and healthy snack for your four-legged friend. With ingredients such as sweet potatoes, pumpkin and coconut oil, they offer a nutritious reward that aids digestion and strengthens the immune system - without any unnecessary additives!

Cuisine:Dog life
Yield:20-25
Method:Baking
Instructions
1. Prepare the sweet potatoes and pumpkin: Peel the sweet potatoes and cut into small pieces. Cook in a pan of water until soft (approx. 10-15 minutes). Prepare the pumpkin too: If you are using fresh pumpkin, peel it, cut into pieces and cook until soft. Or use canned pumpkin puree (make sure it doesn't contain any sugar or artificial additives).

2. Prepare the batter: Mash the cooked sweet potatoes and pumpkin well. In a bowl, add the egg, coconut oil and optional cinnamon. Mix everything well until a homogeneous mixture is formed. If the dough is too firm, you can add a splash of water.

3. Shape the treats: Use your hands to form small balls or cookies from the dough. You can also use a cookie cutter to shape the treats into different shapes - perhaps small bones or hearts if you're feeling creative!

4. Bake: Place the treats on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake at 180°C (fan oven 160°C) for around 20-25 minutes. The treats should be golden brown and crispy.

5. Leave to cool: Allow the treats to cool completely before giving them to your dog. This will prevent them from being too soft and falling apart easily.
Ingredients
* 200 g sweet potato (approx. 1 medium sweet potato)
* 1 egg (only for the pumpkin version)
* 100 g pumpkin (optional without)
* 1 tbsp coconut oil (optional for extra skin care)
* 1 tsp cinnamon (optional, for flavor and to aid digestion)
* A splash of water (if the dough is too firm)
