Category:Dog snack
Cuisine:Dog life
Yield:20-25
Method:Baking
Instructions
1. Mash the banana with a fork in a bowl until it’s nice and mushy. Then add the peanut butter and (if desired) the coconut oil and cinnamon. Mix everything well. Now add the oats – enough to create a moldable dough. Depending on the size of the banana, you may need a few more or fewer spoonfuls.

2. Form small balls or flat cookies. You can also use a cookie cutter – bone shapes, hearts, or paw prints are always a hit!

3. Tip: If the mixture is too sticky, simply place it in the fridge for a few minutes – it will be easier to shape.

4. Bake the cookies at 175°C (350°F) with top and bottom heat (160°C / 320°F for fan oven) for about 15–20 minutes until they are lightly golden brown.

5. For extra crispy treats, you can leave them to dry out a little more in the turned-off oven after baking. Important: Let the cookies cool completely before giving them to your dog – even if he's drooling beside you.
Ingredients
* 1 ripe banana
* 2 tbsp unsweetened peanut butter (without xylitol!)
* 100 g oats (either fine or coarse, depending on preference)
* Optional: 1 tsp coconut oil for extra shine in the fur
* Optional: a pinch of cinnamon (safe for dogs in small amounts – and delicious for humans)

Ideal for healthy dogs of all sizes

Great for dogs with grain sensitivities (oats are considered gluten-free)

Perfect for training rewards

A great little snack between meals

◉ Avoid Added Sugars: If you want to add sweetness to your dog cookies, opt for natural sweeteners like bananas or apples.

◉ Oats are a Hit: They’re not only healthy but also gluten-free, making them easier to digest for many dogs.

◉ Storage: Keep the cookies in an airtight container in the fridge to keep them fresh. You can also freeze them if you want to make a larger batch at once.

◉ For Humans: These cookies are also a real treat for us! If you leave a few for yourself, you can enjoy them as little banana bread cookies – maybe with a bit of honey or cinnamon for extra sweetness.
